My story begins at a favorite family vacation spot, Sequoia National Park. When I was about 3-years old, in an effort to motivate me out of the stroller on hikes, one of my parents would walk ahead and drop pennies on the trail for me to find. It didn’t take long before I was asking to go on walks on the ‘money trail.’
It later came as no surprise to my family when I decided to study finance and economics at the University of Washington.
I have since been working in corporate finance for the better part of 20 years. Additionally, I got bit by the entrepreneurial bug after college and started a consumer electronics business, which I still operate.
Today I live near Seattle, Washington, with my wife, two children, and the family dog. We love the Pacific Northwest and all the outdoor activities it has to offer: hiking, backpacking, snowshoeing, etc.
Just as my parents helped me find coins on the ‘money trail,’ I created this blog to help people find savings and riches on the ‘money trail’ in their lives.
